Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility will undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 506, forcing a weeklong closure of the route. During the week of October 19, crews will be replacing a deteriorated culvert located at the 4.06-mile marker, immediately west of the route's junction with County Road 76 (Carmel Road) and state Route 753 at Carmel. Weather permitting, the project will begin at approximately 8 a.m. Monday, October 19, and continue through the end of the business day Friday, October 23, with the route closed to all traffic throughout the week. While S.R. 506 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of state routes 753, 41 and 124.
