County terminates Children Service's worker's employment

The Highland County Board of Commissioners have agreed to a recommendation by Highland County Job and Family Services Director Debbie Robbins to terminate the employment of Kendi Jordan, who works in the Children Services Department of JFS.

The termination of employment is effective immediately, according to commission president Shane Wilkin.
    
Jordan is one of two Highland County employees to be charged with disorderly conduct after an alleged physical altercation early Sunday at a Hillsboro bar.

Jordan and Highland County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Chris A. Bowen were charged with disorderly conduct.

Wilkin said the incident was a factor in the termination.

Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward said his department will be conducting an internal investigation into the charge against Bowen.[[In-content Ad]]
