Cold, snow prompts several school delays, closings

Tuesday's cold temperatures, as evidenced by the 10 degrees in uptown Hillsboro, mixed with a bit of overnight snow, prompted several school delays this morning. Among the delays for Tuesday, Jan. 5 are:

TWO HOUR DELAY
* GREENFIELD EXEMPTED VILLAGE SCHOOLS
TWO HOUR DELAY 

* HILLSBORO CITY SCHOOLS

CLOSED

* LYNCHBURG-CLAY LOCAL

TWO HOUR DELAY
* SOUTHERN STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
TWO HOUR DELAY
* SOUTHERN HILLS VOCATIONAL
TWO HOUR DELAY
 More snow is in the forecast for Thursday, with two to four inches possible.
