A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Highland County from 9 a.m. until 9 a.m. Friday.

Today's high will reach 28 degrees, but the high temperature Friday will be in the teens. Friday's low will be near 5 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
The snowstorm prompted numerous school closing around the county as well as many cancellations, including the NCB/Highland County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Jan. 20. The Highland County 4-H Jr. Leadership meeting and Highland County Jr. Fairboard meeting are canceled tonight as well.
A winter storm warning expires for the Highland County area today, but in its place are frigid temperatures, as Friday's high is expected to be only 14 degrees.
Snow that arrived Thursday morning totaled as much as six inches in many areas.
Today's high will reach 14 degrees, with a low near 5 degrees and wind chills below zero, the National Weather Service said.
The snowstorm prompted numerous school closings around the county as well as many cancellations on Thursday and Friday. All public schools and Southern State Community College are closed again Friday, Jan. 21.
