Batavia OSHP Post investigating fatal motorcycle crash 

MIAMI TOWNSHIP – The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle, fatal traffic crash involving a motorcycle. The crash occurred on June 28, 2025, at approximately 2 a.m. on state Route 28, near Business 28, in Miami Township, Clermont County. 

The preliminary investigation revealed a 1998 Honda Superhawk 996 motorcycle, operated by Christopher McGrath, 44, Milford, was traveling southwest on State Route 28 when it failed to negotiate a curve and overturned in the roadway. 

Mr. McGrath was the only occupant and was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted with this incident by the Miami Township Police Department, Miami Township Fire and EMS, Milford Police Department, Clermont County Coroner’s Office, and Sora’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
