Audrey Bolte of Batavia was crowned Miss Ohio USA 2012 on Oct. 15 at the Vern Riffe Center For the Arts in Portsmouth.
She will represent Ohio in Miss USA 2012 Pageant.
Audrey is the daughter of former Highland County residents Bill Bolte and Shelly (Johns) Bolte.
The Miss Ohio USA 2012 results include:
• Winner: Audrey Bolte
• 1st runner up: Megan Wise – Miss River City USA;
• 2nd runner up: Sarah Newkirk – Miss Ohio Valley USA;
• 3rd runner up: Kelsey Stevens – Miss Aurora USA; and,
• 4th runner up: Becky Minger – Miss Sylvania USA.
According to the Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA Pageant (http://www.missohiousa.com/) the crowning of the Miss Ohio USA 2012 includes more than $50,000 in scholarship funds for the winner.
Lindenwood University scholarships are offered to all contestants competing in the 2012 pageant.
"We would like to thank Lindenwood University for their support of the pageant and acknowledge their dedication to the young women of Ohio," the Miss Ohio USA organization said. "Through their generous scholarships, any delegate just participating in the pageant has the opportunity to pursue and obtain a college education; therefore, strengthening the role of female leaders in our state and country."
