From The Highland County Sheriff's Office

During the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 11, a deputy on patrol on Harriett Road in Marshall Township turned on a vehicle traveling southbound on Harriett Road. As the deputy got behind the vehicle, some items were thrown from the vehicle, landing along the roadway near the intersection of Harriett and Sinking Spring roads.
The vehicle was stopped by the deputy and further investigation revealed that items related to the manufacture of methamphetamine had been thrown from the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were Danny A. Morrison, age 48, and Bentley Chad Penwell, age 27, both of Highland County.

Both individuals were taken into custody and charged with one count each of illegal assembly of chemicals, a felony of the third degree. Each will have a preliminary hearing in Hillsboro Municipal Court in the near future. The case will also be forwarded to the Highland County Prosecutor's Office for presentation to an upcoming session of the Highland County Grand Jury.[[In-content Ad]]
