Annual Republican picnic set for Aug. 28

By
-
The annual Highland County Republican Picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. at the VFW Pavilion in Hillsboro, located on US 50 West behind Dairy Queen.

Sheriff Ron Ward and his crew are preparing for another great picnic supper. The cost is $7 per person, and accompanying children eat free. All are welcome. Reservations are not required.

U.S. Senator Rob Portman has been invited, but his attendance has not yet been confirmed as he has been named to the Special Committee on Debt Reduction, which has impacted his schedule tremendously. There will be a special straw poll conducted at the picnic to see who Highland County prefers in the Republican presidential race.[[In-content Ad]]
