Adena Health System welcomes the services of internal medicine physician Collins Okolie, MD, who recently joined Adena Internal Medicine – Franklin Clinic, located at the Adena Medical Office Building, Suite 150 in Chillicothe.
Dr. Okolie received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from City University where he participated in and was very involved in campaigns surrounding World Aids Day. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, and completed his residency at University Hospitals Case Western Reserve Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. During his residency, he conducted research in the field of gastroenterology.
While in medical school, Dr. Okolie participated in a number of community outreach projects, including a student-run family health clinic and research sponsored by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. In addition, he has participated in a variety of research and projects surrounding family medicine.
