Adena welcomes compliance officer

CHILLICOTHE – Adena Health System recently welcomed Pat Roam, RN, MS, FACHE, CHC, in the role of Compliance Officer.  

Roam received her Bachelor of Nursing from Ohio University and Masters in Science from The Ohio State University.  She most recently served as the Integrity Officer and Vice President of Regulatory Compliance at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus.  Prior to that, she was the Director of Medical Surgical Services at Grant Medical Center.  

In her role at Adena, Roam is responsible for ensuring that the Board, management and all employees of Adena Health System comply with all laws and regulations and that the behaviors in the organization follow the Mission, Vision and Values.  In addition, she will provide leadership to the compliance program and educate Adena staff with information to help fulfill their ethical and legal responsibilities.  

A resident of Powell, Ohio, Roam is affiliated with the Health Care Compliance Association and the Central Ohio Ethics and Compliance Officer Forum, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  She is involved in a number of volunteer activities and is looking forward to becoming active in the Chillicothe community.
