Adena Hosts 2nd Annual Cardiovascular Symposium on October 17

On Saturday, October 17, Adena Health System will present its 2nd Annual Cardiovascular Symposium at the PACCAR Medical Education Center, located on the campus of Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe.  Featured at the event will be nationally-known speakers who will present on a variety of cardiovascular-related topics to physicians from all throughout Adena's 10-county region and beyond.
Speakers include James DeVries, MD, of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Martin Schreiber, Jr., MD, of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation; Wilson Tang, MD, of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine; Cindy Tracy, MD, of George Washington University Hospital; and Robert Vogel, MD, of the Maryland Heart Center.  Topics include hypertension, stroke, heart failure guidelines, sudden cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease.
"Our cardiologists and healthcare professionals are very excited to welcome
our colleagues throughout the region to this premiere event at the PACCAR
Medical Education Center," says Jack Baker, MD, Cardiothoracic Surgeon at
Adena Health System. "Having a state-of-the art facility, such as the PACCAR Medical Education Center, is quite a drawing card for our region as a unique educational venue that is among some of the most modern in the country.  The opportunities we are able to provide for continuing education in our region are quite impressive."
Target audience for the symposium includes physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who specialize in cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, family medicine, internal medicine, nephrology and neurology.  Cost of the event is $25.  Adena Health System is accredited by the Ohio State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  CME Hours are applicable toward continuing medical education for nursing licensure.
