Mustangs take SHAC No. 1 event by 17 strokes; 3-way tie for 2nd place

Tuesday, Aug. 25 was the Southern Hills Athletic Conference No. 1 match held at Buckeye Hills in Hillsboro where the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs hold the lead after winning the first event by 17 strokes. 

The Mustangs carded a 160 for the event, with Nolan Wilkin being the medalist with a score of 38. The Mustangs took the top 3 spots of the event with Kristian Beachy in second with a score of 40; followed by Jackson West and Aiden Boone each carding a 41 for third place. Austin Manning finished with a score of 46 for the Mustangs. 

Whiteoak, North Adams, and West Union all tied for second place with team scores of 177. Whiteoak’s Carson Hart tied for seventh place with a score of 42. Also for WHS scores included: Jake Kiley (44), Colton Lynch (44), Caden Butler (47), and Grady Roberts (47). 

Fairfield finished with a score of 190 with Pierce Abbott leading the team with a 43 score, a 10th place finish. Also for the Lions scores included: Van Bennington (49), Greyson Abbott (49), Mack Morrow (49), and Davis McKenzie (52).
