Highland County commissioners David Daniels, Brad Roades and Terry Britton issued a proclamation in honor of National FFA Week in Highland County, which is being observed Feb. 17-24, during their Wednesday, Feb. 21 meeting.
Highland County had 10 boys basketball players named to the 2023-24 District 14 Coaches Association All-District teams, including two first-team honorees and a co-Player of the Year.

The 2023-24 season came to a close on Saturday afternoon for the McClain Tigers, falling in their Division II SE District Sectional Semifinal game at Gallia Academy, losing to the host Blue Devils, 38-32.
The No. 13 seeded McClain Lady Tigers saw their season come to an end Thursday night at Zane Trace High School after a 67-27 loss to the No. 4 seeded Unioto Lady Shermans in the Division II sectional finals.
