Whiteoak defeats Portsmouth-Clay

The Whiteoak varsity soccer team earned a non-conference home victory Tuesday night by defeating Portsmouth-Clay, 6-1 at Bright Local Elementary School.

The Wildcats led 3-0 at halftime.

Five of the six goals scored for Whiteoak were from senior Tyler Wessner. Also with a goal was sophomore Abe Flader.

Assists were credited to junior Kenyon Hughes and senior Jackson Tedford. Tedford was also the keeper for the Wildcats, finishing with eight saves.

The win improved Whiteoak to 2-2 overall, and they are currently 0-2 in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference.

Lions lose to Unioto

The Fairfield Lions were shut out on Thursday evening, falling to the Unioto Shermans at UHS by a 9-0 score in non-conference action.

For FHS, they had two saves from senior Carson Jenkins and six saves from senior Zane Matthews.

The loss moves FHS to 1-6 overall, and they are currently 1-1 in the SHAC.

Lady Lions gain 1-goal win at Unioto

Five goals were just enough for the Fairfield Lady Lions to earn a non-conference win on Thursday night, as they used the five-goal effort to defeat the host Unioto Lady Shermans, 5-4.

FHS had two goals each from sophomore Vivian Henninger and sophomore Emerson Zink, while one of the five goals was an own goal that was credited to Fairfield.

Assists for FHS were from sophomore Isabelle Hale, junior Ava Hooper and senior Kendal Welling.

Senior Claire Newkirk had five saves in the win, and teammate Hannah Hamilton totaled one save.

The Lady Lions currently stand at 5-1 overall, and they are 2-0 in the SHAC standings.

Hillsboro Lady Indians shut out Washington

A strong effort on Thursday evening gave the Hillsboro Lady Indians a Frontier Athletic Conference win on the road in Fayette County.

HHS had goals scored by Kobe Miles, Peighton Bledsoe, Arianna Evans, Grace Palmer and Ella Jordan.

The FAC win moves the Lady Indians to a 1-1 record the conference standings, and they are now 3-2 overall.

McClain loses at Jackson by 1-0 score

It was a tough, close loss for the McClain Lady Tigers on Thursday night, losing on the road in Frontier Athletic Competition to the host Jackson Ironladies by a 1-0 score at JHS.

JHS scored their goal in the second half, as the score was tied 0-0 at halftime.

McClain is now 5-1 overall, and they are 1-1 in the FAC.

Tigers shut out against Jackson

The McClain Tigers traveled to Jackson County on Thursday, falling to the host Jackson Ironmen by a 7-0 score in their Frontier Athletic Conference contest.

The loss sends MHS to a 2-3 overall record, and they are 0-1 in the FAC.
