Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Taylor of Hillsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Miranda Leigh Taylor, of Hillsboro, to Kyle James Skidmore, of Hillsboro, the son of Randy Skidmore and Brenda Gilbert of Hillsboro.

Local artist Gretchen Huffman is displaying her portraits of family members and friends at the Hillsboro Public Library during the month of October. Gretchen is largely self-taught although she has worked with Violet Linton of Leesburg and James Werline of Southern State Community College.
