The Southeast District of the OHSAA released the 2025 sectional/district brackets for boys basketball teams Sunday afternoon.

It wasn’t their prettiest game of the year, and the free-throw line wasn’t kind all night, but the McClain Lady Tigers finished off an undefeated slate in the Frontier Athletic Conference by defeating Miami Trace 43-34 Wednesday night in Greenfield and will now receive the symbolic gold basketball.

It took overtime and some clutch free throws down the stretch for the McClain Lady Tigers to win their 20th game of the season, a hard-fought and exciting 55-51 victory over Logan Elm.

The Greenfield McClain Tigers 8th-grade boys' basketball team secured a 40-30 victory over Miami Trace in the first round of the tournament on Monday night.

A Frontier Athletic Conference championship was on the line Saturday at McClain Gym, and it was sophomore Larah Henson who lifted the Lady Tigers to victory, as she made a clutch put-back basket with 2.3 seconds left in regulation, sending the Lady Tigers to a 39-37 victory over rival Hillsboro.
