SCOL Girls Basketball holds preview at Hillsboro

The 2010-11 South Central Ohio League girls basketball preview was held Friday at Hillsboro High School. All seven SCOL schools participated in the event, serving as the final tune-up before the regular season starts next weekend.
In the preview, the McClain Lady Tigers defeated the Washington Lady Blue Lions, 21-19 in two quarters of play to open the event.
The new-look London Lady Red Raiders defeated the seven-time defending SCOL champion Miami Trace Lady Panthers, 19-18 in two quarters of action.
Since there is an uneven number of teams in the SCOL, Hillsboro, Madison-Plains and Clinton-Massie all scrimmaged each other for one quarter, as the trio of teams all played two quarters each.
In the first one-quarter scrimmage, the Lady Eagles of Madison-Plains defeated the HHS Lady Indians, 14-1.
That was followed by the Lady Falcons of CM defeating MP 12-7. The final scrimmage of the night saw CM defeat HHS, 17-9.
Next Friday, the boys SCOL preview will take place at HHS with the same format.[[In-content Ad]]
