Three Highland County soccer players were selected All-Ohio by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association this past weekend.
Lynchburg-Clay senior Taylor Scott capped off her record-breaking season and career as a Lady Mustang by garnering first-team All-Ohio honors in Division III.
For Hillsboro, senior Jordan O'Connor finished his career at HHS by being the second boys player to be All-Ohio, earning second-team honors. Also for HHS, Lady Indians junior Madison Colliver was named second-team All-Ohio for her play this season.
As for Scott, she wrapped up her high school career and her senior season by breaking multiple school records, including most goals scored in a season and career as the senior started all four years at LC either as a forward or in the midfield.
Also this postseason, Scott was named the Division III SE District Player of the Year, along with being a first-team All-SE District selection and All-Southern Hills League player.
In the '12 season, Scott led LC in scoring with 28 goals for a new school record and finished her four-year career with 80 goals as she also had 20 goals her junior year, 22 her sophomore season and during her freshman year, she totaled 10 goals.
Scott was a part of two SHL champion teams, including a perfect league season her junior year, and this year, LC had just one tie in SHL play for their second consecutive league title.
"Taylor has been an integral part of our team this year and her entire time at Lynchburg-Clay," LC coach Dennis West said. "She's improved each year and has a very good work ethic.
"She played forward most of her career but is very capable of playing center-midfield. She always had to face the opponent's best defender this past season and was a great leader for the underclassmen."
Scott's final goals for LC came in their district final match as she scored twice in the second half.
LC this season finished 13-5-1.
The senior is also active away from the soccer field as she is a varsity cheerleader for basketball, a two-year member of the National Honor Society (she currently has a 3.67 GPA) and is the treasurer of student council her junior and senior years.
For O'Connor, the Hillsboro senior was a four-year member of the Indians, becoming the first HHS boys soccer player since Kris Duff ('07) to earn All-Ohio honors.

O'Connor helped lead the Indians to a mark of 9-5-3 this season. His final goal of his high school career came in a sectional semifinal match with 1:37 left in the opening half.
The HHS senior was also a member of the Division II All-District first team and a first-team All-South Central Ohio League.
"Overall, Jordan had a heck of a year," HHS boys coach John Weber said. "He was a four-year varsity letterman and one of our captains.
"He just had an amazing senior year. Three-quarters of our goals went through him."
Weber also spoke about the work ethic of his senior captain.
"What most people don't know is he was the first player at practice and the last one to leave," Weber said. "He carried the ball bag to and from games and practice, and normally most seniors wouldn't do that.
"Jordan would be the first to tell you earning All-Ohio was a team honor because he's not a me-first type of player. My opinion was he's the best player in the SCOL this year. Teams game-planned for him, and he was mostly double-teamed by our opponents every game. He's going to be hard to replace."
In a game on Senior Night against Lynchburg-Clay this season, O'Connor scored four goals and had multiple games with at least three goals. For the season, O'Connor scored 25 goals including the postseason, along with eight assists. His junior season, O'Connor totaled 13 goals as that season, he was second-team All-District and All-SCOL.
Colliver, a HHS junior, was a big part of the Lady Indians' 17-2-1 mark this season, a season that went all the way to the regional semifinal where they lost to eventual '12 state runner-up and defending '11 state champion Columbus St. Francis DeSales by a 1-0 score.
The HHS junior has started all three of her seasons at HHS and is the first HHS girls soccer player to be named All-Ohio since her sister Lauren was named to the second-team in '08.
"Madison is a role model for all future Lady Indians," HHS girls soccer coach Leslie Molen said. "She currently carries a 4.25 GPA and is not only a class act on the field, but also in the classroom."
This year, Colliver was also a first-team All-District member in Division II and and first-team player in the SCOL as she totaled 16 goals (13 in regular season) with nine assists, and defensively, she had 83 interceptions and 45 takeaways.
"Madison is a great kid, a great player and is 100-percent coachable," Molen said. "Her teammates love her, and she gives 110 percent each time she takes the field.
"Starting off this season, I put her in a mentor-type role with a freshman, but as the season went on, I changed that and Madison found her comfort level. At times, she would be an offensive threat, and at other times, she stayed back and played well defensively. As the season went on, the stronger she got."
