On June 27, Hillsboro FFA members had the opportunity to serve their community by helping landscape Highland District Hospital.

From 8 a.m.-noon, 19 students helped shovel mulch, trim and plant shrubs, pick weeds and re-mulch five different flower beds as well as brickwork and cleaning signs.

The hospital provided mulch, shrubs, soil and tools for the students to use. The last hour Highland District Hospital generously fed the FFA members pizza, chips and drinks for lunch. FFA members learned a lot about landscaping and many skills which they will carry into their future.
