Boys Soccer: Indians shut out by Athens
In a game played Thursday (Sept. 21) the Hillsboro Indians lost to the visiting Athens Bulldogs by a 3-0 score at Hillsboro High School.

Volleyball: Hillsboro swept by Washington in WCH
Going on the road Thursday (Sept. 21), the HHS Lady Indians lost a Frontier Athletic Conference game to the Washington Lady Blue Lions in three straight sets.
HHS lost by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 28-26.
The loss sends HHS to an overall record of 5-10 overall and 1-5 in the FAC.

Volleyball: Fairfield adds SHAC win by defeating Manchester
Another SHAC win went the way for the Fairfield Lady Lions by defeating the Manchester Greyhounds on the road by a 3-1 score.
FHS won by scores of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-17. Manchester won set three at 25-17.
For the Lady Lions, Jobey Hattan led the team with 15 kills, while McKinley Cox finished with seven kills, and Mackenzie Anderson had five kills.
Hattan and Kelsey Clark led FHS with four aces each.
Emily Taylor had two total blocks for Fairfield, and leaders in digs included: Hattan (20), Jadi Howland (13) and Clark (13).
The assists leader was Clark with 19.
With the win, FHS moves to 7-6 overall and 7-1 in the SHAC.

Volleyball: Lynchburg-Clay drops SHAC contest to Peebles
The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs hosted the Peebles Lady Indians on Thursday (Sept. 21), where they fell in four sets in the SHAC contest.
LCHS won set three at 25-22, but lost sets one at 25-8, set two at 25-12 and set four at 25-16.
The Lady Mustangs totaled 19 kills with Halle Greene leading with five, followed by Joslyn Rockey with four.
Addy Carraher was LC’s leader with two aces, and in blocks Greene had three total blocks.
LC had three players with double-digit digs, with Joslyn Rockey with 13, Avery Shope with 12 and Allison Rockey with 11.
The assists leader was Carraher with five, followed by Ava McLaughlin and Kylie O’Connor with three each.
LCHS now stands at 4-10 overall and 3-7 in SHAC action.

Saturday, Sept. 23
Volleyball: Whiteoak falls in two games at weekend tri-match
The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost two games Saturday in a tri-match held at Washington C.H., falling to the Lady Blue Lions 2-0 and the Southeastern Lady Panthers by a 2-0 score.
In the match vs. SEHS, the Lady ’Cats lost by scores of 25-13 and 25-13.
Against Washington, Whiteoak lost 25-7 and 25-18.
WHS now stands at 9-6 overall, and they are 7-2 in the SHAC Div. II standings.

Boys Soccer: Mustangs lose to South Webster
In a non-conference played on Saturday (Sept. 23) the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs lost at home to the South Webster Jeeps, 1-0.
For LCHS, Isaac Eyre totaled eight saves.
