According to a Hillsboro Police Department report, at approximately 3:24 a.m., the driver of a 1992 Mercury refused to stop after a police cruiser – with lights and siren activated – attempted to pull him over for fictitious license plates.

Parker fled in a 1992 Mercury Tracer. The car turned east on John Street, striking a curb at North West Street, and leaving the city limits on Route 73 west.

The Highland County Sheriff's Office joined in the pursuit. The vehicle struck a ditch and came to a stop north of Welcome Road. The vehicle's occupants fled on foot.

The HCSO K-9 unit located Parker, 28. Parker was found to have outstanding warrants in Clinton and Clermont counties. He was taken into custody.

Anyone with information on this incident may call the HPD at (937) 393-3411.
