Ohio Republican Party endorses Husted
COLUMBUS — Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) has secured the Ohio Republican Party’s endorsement less than four months after his appointment to serve in Washington—and just weeks after earning President Donald Trump’s backing.
“Receiving the endorsement of the Ohio Republican Party—alongside President Trump’s recent endorsement—shows the strong momentum we’re building for the 2026 election," said Husted. "When Republicans in Ohio unite, we win. This early and overwhelming support is a critical step on the road to victory.”
“This was a no-brainer. With Jon Husted, we know exactly what we’re getting—a proven conservative with years of service and results to back it up. He’s united Republicans around his values and vision for Ohio. Our party stands firmly behind him,” said Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou.
Husted secured the endorsement during the State Central Committee's meeting in Columbus on May 9th. The endorsement allows for strategic coordination with both the state and national party, access to mail permits, joint fundraising efforts and ground game opportunities.
Husted’s momentum continues to build. With President Trump’s “Complete and Total Endorsement” and the Ohio Republican Party’s official support, he’s poised to defend Ohio’s seat with the full strength of a united party behind him.
