The Ohio Justice and Policy Center (OJPC) applauded Gov. Mike DeWine for helping 323 Ohioans by expediting their pardons so they have a better chance to find jobs, housing, and begin moving back into and positively contributing to their communities.

“We are grateful to Gov. Mike DeWine for making a strong commitment to helping people with criminal records turn their lives around. His Expedited Pardon Project has helped 323 people already. OJPC is proud to be one of the few legal service providers in the state serving them and the 340 people still working through the program. Gov. DeWine's commitment to barrier removal has had a profound impact. It has given Ohioans a better opportunity to find jobs, find housing, transition back into their communities, and realize their full potential," said Gabe Davis, Chief Executive Officer for the Ohio Justice & Policy Center.

"Gov. DeWine should be applauded for transforming the lives of individuals, their families, and their loved ones. We will continue to work with formerly incarcerated people, giving them the opportunities to apply for a pardon, because this program works," said Lindsay Baruffa, Director of the Second Chance Project for the Ohio Justice & Policy Center.
