Lebanon Post is investigating single-motorcycle fatal crash in Warren County

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-motorcycle fatal crash. The crash is believed to have occurred Aug. 14, between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., on Oregonia Road east of Waynesville Road in Turtlecreek Township, Warren County.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Travis M. Wenzler, 47, Oregonia, was operating a 2004 Honda motorcycle traveling east on Oregonia Road. While negotiating a curve, the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Upon traveling off the right side of the roadway, the motorcycle struck a traffic sign, and Mr. Wenzler was ejected.

Mr. Wenzler was located the following day by the Warren County Engineer’s Office. Mr. Wenzler was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Mr. Wenzler was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Turtlecreek EMS and Warren County Coroner’s Office assisted the patrol at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Lebanon Post.
