Hillsboro Police Report

On July 25, Megan Taylor of Hillsboro, driving a 2003 Pontiac, was traveling westbound on Harry Sauner Road and failed to stop for a 2012 Chevrolet that was traveling westbound and was driven by Mary Smith of Hillsboro. Taylor struck the Smith vehicle, doing damage to both vehicles. Taylor was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

On July 26, the Hillsboro Rite Aid reported that they had attempted to detain a male shoplifter, and he had taken off on foot after being stopped by a store employee. This report is still under investigation by the department.

Tina Walker of Hillsboro reported a tree limb had fallen on her 2007 Chevrolet while it was parked in the 100 block of East Walnut Street and broke her windshield.

Arrests and Citations:

Mark Honeycutt, 22, of Hillsboro, obstructing official business.

Rex Gragg, 33, of Hillsboro, domestic violence.
