Hamilton Post investigating 2-vehicle fatal crash involving a motorcycle on state Route 63

The Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred Monday, June 17, at 4:38 a.m., on westbound state Route 63 near mile post 1 in Monroe, Butler County.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2011 Honda Accord, operated by Olga Gomez, 53, of Middletown, was traveling east on state Route 63, turning left to travel north into the Kroger Fulfillment Center parking lot. A 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500, operated by Ronald J. Imhoff, 30, of Middletown, was traveling west on state Route 63. When the Honda turned, it allegedly made contact with the Kawasaki.

Imhoff succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

Gomez and her passenger, Yvonnis Diaz Rivas, 52, Middletown, were transported by ground ambulance to Atrium Medical Center with minor injuries.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Monroe Police Department, Monroe Fire Department & EMS, Butler County Coroner’s Office and Dietz Towing.

Westbound state Route 63 was closed for the duration of the crash investigation, but reopened just after 10 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton Post.
