February 22nd, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:11 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street in front of Dominos. The driver was warned.

At 12:11 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-hangup in the 1000 block of South Street. After investigation, it was determined to be accidental.

At 1:00 A.M., a caller reported an open door at an establishment in the 200 block of South Washington Street. 

At 7:40 A.M., Norton Alarm and Security advised of a commercial burglar alarm activation at O'Riley's. The building was cleared.

At 9:39 A.M., Glass City Fire Protection advised of an alarm activation in the 1100 block of Greenhills Drive. The keyholder advised everything checked ok.

At 12:51 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 500 block of Boyd Avenue. The resident checked ok.

At 1:45 P.M., an individual reported an open door at an establishment in the 200 block of South Washington Street. The building was cleared.

At 5:12 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near South McArthur Way. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 8:09 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Lafayette Street near North 7th Street. The driver, Dana Turner, 52, Greenfield was cited for illumination of the rear license plate, driving under suspension, and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 10:33 P.M., a caller in the 200 block of North 2nd Street reported property damage hit-skip involving their vehicle. This incident remains under investigation.

Arrests/Citations

Dana Turner, 52, of Greenfield was cited for illumination of the rear license plate, driving under suspension, and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

February 23rd, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 7:31 A.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 300 block of South 5th Street. It was later discovered the resident was transported to the hospital.

At 8:22 A.M., a caller reported a juvenile complaint in the 400 block of Evans Street. Parties were separated.

At 12:20 P.M., a caller in the 500 block of South Street reported a domestic complaint. An officer responded.

At 6:04 P.M., a caller reported a sex offense.

At 6:35 P.M., a caller reported threats/harassment. After investigation, Hayden Smith, 23, Greenfield was arrested for extortion.

At 8:34 P.M., a caller in the 100 block of Paint Street reported a known male causing a disturbance. The male was located at the shelter house on South McArthur Way and was advised accordingly.

February 24th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 4:14 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

At 4:22 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of South 2nd Street. The driver, Isaiah Molebash, 20, Greenfield was cited for obedience to traffic control device and use of illegal license plates/transfer of registration.

At 5:41 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Ferrell Gas. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:41 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the North End Mini Mart. The driver, Hayden Reed, 24, Salyersville, KY, was cited for headlights on motor vehicles and expired license plates.

At 1:48 P.M., a resident in the 300 block of North Washington Street reported trespassing of a known male on their property, who left prior to an officer's arrival. 

At 5:26 P.M., a resident in the 1000 block of South 5th Street reported a domestic complaint. After investigation, Robert Ashcraft, 26, of Butler County was arrested for Domestic Violence. Marshall Seymour, 53, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting.

At 7:54 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a known male possibly in the 100 block of Paint Street. An officer patrolled the area.

At 8:33 P.M., a caller reported a Hyundai and a Chevrolet racing in the 600 block of Spring Street heading towards Community Markets. An officer patrolled the area.

At 9:06 P.M., an officer attempted a warrant service at a residence in the 400 block of Evans Street. Cecil Carter, 61, of Greenfield was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of the Highland County Court.

At 9:30 P.M., an individual reported threats/harassment from a known person.

Arrests/Citations

Isaiah Molebash, 20, of Greenfield was cited for obedience to traffic control device and use of illegal license plates/transfer of registration.

Hayden Reed, 24, of Salyersville, KY, was cited for headlights on motor vehicles and expired license plates.

Robert Ashcraft, 26, of Butler County was arrested for Domestic Violence. 

Marshall Seymour, 53, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting.

Cecil Carter, 61, of Greenfield was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of the Highland County Court.

February 25th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 2:17 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 5th Street near North Street. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 2:28 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near 6th Street. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 2:31 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Pine Street. The driver, Michael Wiley, 47, Leesburg was arrested for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 6:38 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 6th Street near Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:51 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near 2nd Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:09 P.M., an individual reported the traffic lights at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Washington Street were malfunctioning. The traffic lights were found to be operating normally.

At 6:54 P.M., a caller in the 400 block of Waddell Street reported suspicious persons. An officer made contact with the individuals, who were advised not to return to the property.

At 7:19 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Smitty's Auto Sales. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 7:31 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for speed.

At 11:12 P.M., a caller walking on Moon Road requested the crisis hotline number. Ross County Sheriff's Office was advised.

Arrests/Citations

Michael Wiley, 47, of Leesburg was arrested for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

February 26th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 5:44 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Lyndon Avenue. The driver, Tammy Jones, 67, Hillsboro was cited for obedience to a traffic control device.

At 10:03 A.M., a caller at Flagway 16 requested assistance unlocking their vehicle. Entry was gained.

At 10:04 A.M., the Village of Greenfield reported theft of water service in the 700 block of Spring Street. This incident remains under investigation.

At 10:56 A.M., an individual at the City Building requested assistance unlocking their vehicle. Entry was gained.

At 11:06 A.M., a resident in the 500 block of Spring Street reported an animal complaint.

At 1:03 P.M., a caller reported observing through their security cameras a male breaking and entering their residence in the 200 block of North Washington Street. After investigation, it was determined the male was scheduled worker.

At 1:09 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a male slumped over on a bench in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. An officer located the male, who checked ok, walking on Jefferson Street.

At 2:48 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of North Street reported criminal mischief to her property.

At 5:36 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 5th Street near South Street. The driver was warned for a stop sign violation.

At 7:48 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Janice Street near North 11th Street. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 7:55 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 10th Street near Foraker Street. The driver was warned for brake lights and registration.

At 8:00 P.M., an individual reported a civil complaint.

At 8:02 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 4th Street near Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 8:13 P.M., while on patrol on Edgewood Avenue near Jefferson Street, an officer located a disabled vehicle. Assistance was given to the driver.

At 8:31 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist on McClain Avenue near North 6th Street. The bicyclist was warned for no bicycle lights.

At 8:55 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 11:32 P.M. the Ohio State Highway Patrol advised of a silver Chevy Impala driving recklessly on S. R. 28 in Ross County, headed towards the village. Contact was made with the original caller who advised they last seen the vehicle at the intersection of S. R. 28 and Porter Hollow Road.

Tammy Jones, 67, of Hillsboro was cited for obedience to a traffic control device.


February 27th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:30 a caller requested an emergency squad to a residence in the 10000 block of Stewart Road. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised.

At 3:09 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for failure to use a turn signal.

At 3:15 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Jefferson Street. The driver, Donald Neel III, 37, South Salem was cited for speed and failure to reinstate.

At 4:39 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Washington Street. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 6:00 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 2nd Street near Pine Street. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 6:10 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for expired registration.

At 8:37 A.M., a resident in the 500 block of South Street reported a juvenile complaint.

At 8:50 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of North 5th Street. The driver was warned for stop sign.

At 9:30 A.M., a resident in the 100 block of Janice Street requested an emergency squad. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised. Assistance was given.

At 10:13 A.M., a caller requested a welfare check on residents in the 500 block of Lyndon Avenue. Residents checked ok.

At 1:03 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 2nd Street near Summerfield Street. The driver was warned for no turn signal.

At 1:08 P.M., a caller advised of a water leak emergency at an establishment in the 300 block of Mirabeau.

At 2:20 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Washington Street. The driver was warned for no turn signal.

At 2:28 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 5th Street near Dickey Avenue. The driver was warned for no turn signal.

At 6:26 P.M., a caller in the 1000 block of Mirabeau Street reported locating illegal drugs inside of a residence. An officer responded and collected the contraband.

At 8:38 P.M., a caller requested extra patrol for the area of Felson's Park.

At 11:40 P.M., a caller in the area of S. R. 753 and Wolfe Road in Ross County reported a property damage hit-skip involving a Ford F-250 that had crashed into the ditch. Caller advised the male driver appeared to be intoxicated and was picked up by another vehicle. The Ross County Sheriff's Office was advised. An officer responded to the scene.

Donald Neel III, 37, of South Salem was cited for speed and failure to reinstate.

Richard Tolle II, 57, of Leesburg was arrested for a probation violation.

February 28th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:09 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Flagway 12. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 3:35 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Save A Lot. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 3:59 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation. 

At 4:10 A.M., Chillicothe Fire and Alarm advised of a commercial burglar alarm activation. The building was cleared.

At 4:58 A.M., an officer conducted a security check at a residence in the 700 block of North Street.

At 6:02 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Ferrell Gas. The driver was warned for failure to maintain lane.

At 6:31 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Smitty's Auto Sales. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 7:18 A.M., while on patrol in the 100 block of Lafayette Street, an officer located a water leak appearing to be in the middle of the street. 

At 11:36 A.M., a caller at Mitchell Park reported trespassing.

At 12:57 P.M., a resident at Greenfield Skilled Nursing reported elder abuse. This incident remains under investigation.

At 1:45 P.M., the Murray Fettro Funeral Home requested assistance with a funeral procession.

At 4:25 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 4:41 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Hillcrest Drive. After investigation, the driver, Chad Jarrell, 50, Greenfield was arrested for O.V.I. and cited for driving under suspension, turn signal, and stop sign.

At 4:45 P.M., an individual turned in a found vehicle title. After investigation, the title was returned to the proper owner.

At 7:04 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Jefferson Street. The driver, Eduardo Vargas, 60, Chillicothe, was cited for driving under suspension.

At 8:25 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Mirabeau Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation and an equipment violation.

At 8:50 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South 10th Street near Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 10:18 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer from a resident in the 400 block of North 8th Street reporting a burglary in progress. After investigation, Curtis Johnson, 38, Jamestown was arrested for criminal trespass, three counts of menacing, and three counts of open container.

At 11:01 P.M., a caller reported a known male who was believed to be intoxicated inside a residence in the 400 block of Evans Street.

Arrests/Citations

Chad Jarrell, 50, of Greenfield was arrested for O.V.I. and cited for driving under suspension, turn signal, and stop sign.

Eduardo Vargas, 60, of Chillicothe was cited for driving under suspension.

Curtis Johnson, 38, of Jamestown was arrested for criminal trespass, three counts of menacing, and three counts of open container.
