Brown County resident Paul Hall has been re-appointed to the Southern State Community College Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Hall, an insurance company owner and executive, is a former board chairman. Earlier this year, he ran in the Republican primary for Ohio's 14th Senate District, losing a close race to Joe Uecker, the representative for the Ohio 66th House District.

According to SSCC President Dr. Kevin Boys, announcements on two other board position could be made soon.

In addition to Hall, the SSCC Board of Trustees includes: chairperson Vicki Wilson of Clinton County, vice-chair Donald Moore of Fayette County, Doug Boedeker of Fayette County, Michelle Cimis of Highland County, Larry D. Anderson of Adams County, and Leilani Popp of Clinton County.

"As chair of the Board of Trustees, I'm very pleased that Paul Hall has been re-appointed for another term," Dr. Vicki Wilson said. "His knowledge and experience in finance and long-range planning are a real asset to the board, and his common sense and "can-do" spirit make him a valued member and colleague."

Highland County representative Kay Ayres' term expired this year. She could be re-appointed by the governor.

A potential Adams County appointment also is under consideration.
