Batavia Township man indicted on child porn, firearms possession charges

On Thursday, Nov. 9, Jason Voss, 41, of Batavia Township was indicted by a Clermont County grand jury, who returned an indictment on the following:

• 15 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, all felonies of the second degree; and

• One count of having weapons under disability, a felony of the third degree.

In July 2023, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip germinated by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) involving an address in the 3000 block of Meadow Green Court in Batavia Township, Clermont County, where child pornography was allegedly uploaded.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Investigative Unit executed a search warrant at the residence and identified Jason Voss as the alleged responsible party for the items collected. During the search, detectives seized various electronics allegedly used to upload and view the material.

A subsequent search by detectives of the seized electronics and associated storage devices allegedly revealed large quantities of uploaded videos and images depicting prepubescent and pubescent children engaged in various lewd acts.

All collected electronics will be further examined with the assistance of the Hamilton County Regional Electronics and Computer Investigation Unit (RECI).

Several firearms were also located in the residence and allegedly identified as belonging to Voss. The firearms were collected and stored as evidence due to a previous felony conviction for burglary, which Voss received from the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2014.

Detectives took Voss into custody at his residence after serving the search warrant without incident.

This investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to work with ICAC and NCMEC to determine the identities of any victim(s) and/or perpetrator(s) shown in the pornography.
