Two Fairfield players earned career milestones on Thursday night (Dec. 9), as senior Madison Bronner earned her 500th rebound and junior Peyton Magee became the all-time assists leader for the Fairfield Lady Lions.

FHS also won the non-conference game by defeating the host Washington Lady Blue Lions by a score of 61-21.

“These two girls work hard day in and day out during the season and the offseason,” head coach Jeremy McGraw said of Bronner and Magee. “Their hard work has paid off. I couldn't be prouder of them.

“As for the win, anytime you go on the road and pick up a win it is a great win. I am constantly reminding them how important it is to be focused and prepared no matter who you are playing.”

FHS led the Lady Blue Lions 18-2 at the end of the first quarter and came back with a 10-3 effort in the second quarter for a halftime advantage of 28-5. In the second half, FHS scored 22 points in the third and 11 points in the fourth quarter. WCH had 13 points in the third and three points in the final frame.

Emma Fouch led FHS in scoring with 16 points, followed by Ella Newkirk and Madison Bronner with 11 points each. Faith Donley scored eight points, while Braylynn Haines scored seven points in the win.

The rest of the FHS scoring included Magee with five points, Caitlyn Quickle with two points and Hannah Hamilton with one point.
