Lady Lion soccer season ends

The 2012 girls soccer season of the Fairfield Lady Lions came to an end this Saturday (Oct. 20) as they fell to the Eastern Brown Lady Warriors 1-0 in their Division III SE District Sectional final match at EBHS.

The Lady Lions end the season with four wins. This was the 10th win of the year for Eastern Brown.

Fairfield seniors playing in their final match were Courtney Huff and Amanda Sanderson.

The win by Eastern Brown moves them to a district semifinal match on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Lynchburg-Clay. LC is the No. 2 seed, and EB is the No. 3 seed. LC defeated Peebles 7-0 on Saturday.

Earlier this season, LC tied EB 1-1 (at LC) and lost the the Lady Warriors 2-1 at EBHS. LC is the Southern Hills League champion, and EB finished second in the league.
