Hillsboro boys track and field wins Washington Blue Lions Invitational

The Hillsboro Indians boys track and field team continued the excellent start to their season by winning the Washington Blue Lions Invitational on Friday in Washington C.H. as they defeated 11 other teams en route to the win.
Hillsboro won with a score of 112.5, while the second-place team Minford scored 95 points. In third was Wheelersburg with a score of 77, and completing the Top 5 were Washington in fourth place (65) and McClain in fifth place (63). Fairfield also competed in the event, placing ninth with a score of 47.
In the girls event, the best finisher from Highland County was McClain in third place with a score of 84, followed by Hillsboro in sixth place with 50 points and Fairfield finished in seventh place at 45 points. The winning team was Wheelersburg with a score of 128.5, and host Washington was second place with a score of 99.
