On Saturday, March 9, four Lynchburg-Clay High School students competed at the District 17 Ohio Academy of Science Fair at Wilmington College.

Those students were Caraline West, Baylee McClain, Addy Carraher, and Libby Watson.

Students receiving superior ratings and advancing to the State Science Day were Watson with her safety of the 5-second rule project and West with her germination of radish seeds experiment.

There were some special awards presented as well. The Ohio Water Environment Association Award was presented to Carraher with her soil infiltration project, and the Ohio Soybean Bioscience Award was presented to West.
