Hillsboro Great Oaks members attend national livestock shows

Throughout this summer, four members competed in the National Livestock Shows, including, Connor Yochum, Brayden Cummings, Claire Winkle, and Sydney Dunlap.

Connor Yochum exhibited at the Maine-Chi Jr nationals, he was second in class with his chi-angus heifer and was on the Champion  fitting team in the Jr. Division.  

Brayden Cummings exhibited the Third Overall Bred and Owned High Chi Female, Spring Calf Division Champion and third in class with his Low Chi female. Brayden was also on the Champion Fitting Team with Connor.  

Claire Winkle exhibited a Hampshire barrow and a Poland gilt at The Exposition in Des Moines, Iowa and at the National Junior Summer Spectacular in Indianapolis, Indiana. Claire got  2nd in the Public Speaking contest and 6th in the Skillathon at the NJSS. Sydney Dunlap competed in the SpringField Team Purebred show in Illinois and got 5th in class with her Hereford Gilt, and 4th in class with her Hampshire gilt.
