Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA competes at Envirothon

On March 12, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter competed at the Envirothon contest at Green Acres. 

Four members competed, including Aaron Hatter, Mathias Hostetler, Foster Britton, and Cole Mason. Our four competitors had to go through and complete four stations in wildlife, forestry, aquatics, and soils. 

They had to answer questions about the four different habitat types and distinguish which ones would be the best for life and growth.

Our team placed fifth out of eight teams, and after the competition, they went out to eat and had some time to discuss how the competition went and share their thoughts on the contest. Our team really enjoyed the Envirothon CDE this year, and they highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new.
