On Sept. 25, the Fairfield FFA Chapter held its annual Farm Safety Day for Pre-K through fifth-grade students, delivering a fun-filled day centered on agricultural education and safety.

Students gained hands-on experience learning about various types of machinery – including a sprayer, manure spreader, tractors, skid steer, four-wheeler, brush hog, and cultivator – while learning essential safety protocols around heavy equipment and farm animals.

In addition to safety lessons, students participated in interactive stations, including a roping activity with practice calves, pumpkin-bowling, and a ping-pong ball relay. Inside the chapter greenhouse, students created germination-bags to take home, and finished the day crafting fall paper wreaths.

The Fairfield FFA extends its sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, community members, and elementary staff who made this event possible, and looks forward to continuing the tradition next year.
