By
Chillicothe Police Department, Press Release

Over the past several weeks, the Chillicothe Police Department has taken significant steps in the ongoing battle against drug-related crime in the community. Following multiple stops and drug search warrant executed on East Second Street, officers and detectives have made several substantial seizures.

On Oct. 13, the Department announced the seizure of six firearms; 82 grams of methamphetamine; three grams of heroin; 230 grams of marijuana; 44 grams of cocaine; and cash, allegedly from drug trafficking profits.

Those operations have led to multiple arrests, and the Chillicothe Police Department is working diligently to pursue felony drug and weapon charges against those allegedly involved. Lab results and felony charges are pending.

In an unrelated report, the Chillicothe Police Department announced Oct. 19 that on Oct. 17, the CPD executed a search warrant at a separate address on East Second Street, which resulted in the alleged seizure of approximately 65 grams of crack cocaine; cash, alleged to be drug trafficking proceeds; and drug paraphernalia.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers located Da’quan Mikell, 28, of Columbus, who was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine. Mikell has had several recent encounters with CPD officers, including on Sept. 15 (charges pending); Oct. 9 (charged with possession of cocaine); and Oct. 17 (again charged with possession of cocaine).

Also arrested as a result of the search warrant were Rebecca Blessing, 55, and Tabitha Folkes, 32, both on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia; and Dewayne Johnson, 57, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and permitting drug abuse. All three suspects are from Chillicothe.
