Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Press Release

On Sept. 12, a Clermont County grand jury returned an indictment against Charles Shropshire, 35, of Batavia Township, on multiple felony charges.

Shropshire has been indicted on 13 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, all felonies of the second degree.

This new indictment is part of an ongoing investigation led by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit, which commenced in July 2022.

This indictment followed a forensic review of additional electronic devices owned by Shropshire, revealing new alleged evidence, which led to the additional charges.

In October 2022, Shropshire had been indicted on multiple charges, including three counts of rape, felonies of the first degree; nine counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, eight counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and two counts of child endangering, all second-degree felonies; and one count each of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and gross sexual imposition, both third-degree felonies. That case is still pending.
