It's a good rule of thumb to seek validation of anyone who is providing services in your home. For seniors in the area who receive home health or other similar services, the Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) asks seniors to be particularly aware of possible home health agency imposters who may come to homes claiming they provide services.

New Directions will be holding a spring dinner on Saturday, April 10 from 5-7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, located at 457 Jefferson St. in Greenfield.

At one point or another, every department at Clinton Memorial Hospital comes in contact with the public. With that contact comes the opportunity to present a positive image to our community. The Patient Access Services Department is most often responsible for providing patients and visitors with their first impressions of our hospital.

The Highland District Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the receipt of a $13,000 donation from The Cassner Foundation.  The funds will be used for the 2010 Health Fair scheduled for April 17, the ongoing $20 screening mammogram voucher program, and new fetal monitoring system in the HDH Maternity Department.

Just when it seems impossible to endure one more cold dreary day, April is upon us, ushering in southern Ohio's annual wildflower pageant. There is nothing like seeing the first flowers of the season to soothe Ohioans' winter-weary nerves. And yet, because the display is as brief as it is breathtaking, it is easy to miss the show. Floral displays begin each year around April 7th, peak between April 15 and the 25th, and then rapidly fade out by the end of the month.

The V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting. Opening ceremonies were carried out. Topics were of the Ladies Auxiliary to assist the Men's Auxiliary with their St. Patrick's dinner by bringing desserts and helping out where possible.

The Triple-L 4-H Club met Sunday, March 21 at the home of advisor Jaime Simmons. Nineteen members attended the meeting.

Army Reserve Sgt. Scott M. Lovett has been mobilized and activated at Fort Dix, N.J., in preparation for deployment to serve in support of either Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom.  The soldier is a member of the 398th Financial Management Center, Fort Belvoir, Fairfax, Va.
