State Route 32 east in Adams County is now open following its closure earlier today due to an accident. 

The eastbound lanes of the route were closed at the intersection of County Road 198 (Portsmouth Road) early this morning following an accident involving a semi-tractor trailer.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash.

The finance committee of Southern State Community College Board of Trustees will meet 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 in Room 166 of the college's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.

During a two year period, 2008 and 2009, American Care Medical Transportation, Inc. billed a total of $752,424.21 in Medicaid-paid charges to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Of that amount, the audit found $532,270.55 to be improper.

Arrested and charged with one count of illegal assembly of chemicals, a felony of the third degree, was Jeffrey L. Garen, 43, of Brush Creek Township.
