The Fairfield Local High School chapter of the National Honor Society has been very busy this school year. This student organization has successfully directed several school activities, including two charitable projects, and has volunteered at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center for two important events.

Whiteoak High School held their first Career Fair on Friday, April 8, with approximately 45 businesses and services from the area.

On Saturday, April 2, 20 Hillsboro FFA members traveled to the Ohio State Fairgrounds to compete in the Spring Career Development Events.

The 2016-17 officers are: Breanne Fender as president, Bryanna Buerkle as vice president, Erin Clark as vice president of community development, Kaleb Harp as vice president of chapter development, Emily Earley as vice president of student development, Peyton Kidder as secretary, Taylor Chaney as treasurer, Ashley Chaney as reporter, Mackenzie Oglesby as sentinel and Morgan Holland as the student adviser.
