Everything went the way of the Fairfield Lions in the first half Friday night against the Fayetteville Rockets, as the Lions played outstanding defense in front of their home crowd and were hot from beyond the arc, holding a 15-point lead at halftime.

For the first time the season, the Fairfield Lady Lions earned a win, and not just any win, as their victory on Thursday evening was a Southern Hills Athletic Conference win against a Highland County rival.
Holding the lead after each quarter, it was a dominating second frame that put the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats in the driver’s seat, as they traveled to Leesburg and returned home with a Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory over the host Fairfield Lady Lions by a 57-36 score on Monday night.
