Bright Local Schools recently celebrated a milestone more than two decades in the making with the official ribbon cutting and opening of the Wildcat Learning Center.

Bright Local Schools proudly invites our community stakeholders, families, business partners, alumni, and Wildcats – past, present, and future – to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the Wildcat Learning Center on Monday, Aug. 17.

Bright Local Schools is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with HealthSource to establish a school-based health center located within the Wildcat Learning Center at Whiteoak High School, set to open in the fall of 2026.

"We are proud to share that Bright Elementary Preschool has earned a GOLD Rating – a reflection of the incredible work happening each and every day for our youngest Wildcat learners," said Bright Local Schools Superintendent Jason Iles.

The Nuthatch Solar and Highland Energy Storage Projects recently donated $17,000 to the Bright Local School District.

The Bright Local Board of Education will be holding their annual organizational meeting followed by their regularly stated meeting on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the new Work Force Development Center next to Whiteoak High School. 

The Bright Local Schools Board of Education will meet Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at Bright Local Elementary.  

Bright Local Schools proudly recognized Marley Gobin, a Whiteoak High School senior, at the recent Board of Education meeting, where she was awarded a scholarship from the Waw-wil-a-way Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

The Bright Local Board of Education will be holding its next regular meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Bright Elementary School at 6 p.m.

Bright Local School District is proud to announce it has been awarded the Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Grant in the amount of $1,091,793.51 by the Ohio Department of Education.

The next Bright Local Schools board meeting will take place Wednesday, June 25 at 6 p.m. at Whiteoak High School.
