Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) Wednesday announced more than $88 million in funding to help nearly a dozen Appalachian school districts improve public health and enhance workforce development in their areas.

Joe B. Stewart is now a “Rocket Man,” so to speak, as he has been named the new varsity boys basketball head coach for the Fayetteville Rockets. Thursday evening saw the Fayetteville-Perry Board of Education approve the recommendation of Superintendent Tim Carlier.

The Fairfield Lady Lions hosted the Fayetteville Lady Rockets at Fairfield High School on Tuesday, where the sixth inning proved to be too much for the host Fairfield team, allowing five runs in the inning and eventually suffering a 6-2 Southern Hills Athletic Conference loss.
