Williamsburg’s Dan McKibben named OHBSCA Div. III Boys Coach of the Year

The Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHBSCA) has announced their Boys Coaches of the Year for the 2023-24 season. 

Dan McKibben of Williamsburg was selected by the OHBSCA as Coach of the Year for Division III.

McKibben just recently completed his 18th season as a head coach. He has a career record of 185-215.

This season, McKibben’s team finished with an overall record of 23-3. In his 18 years as head coach, he has won five league titles and one sectional championship.

“Dan is a veteran coach that has been able to adjust to the modern game and excel at getting kids to buy into his system in order to succeed,” District 16 Director Ricardo Hill said. “He is an incredible leader of young men.”

Other boys basketball coaches of the year include:

• Division I: Jim Rucki, Findlay.

• Division II: Joe Bedingfield, Willard.

• Division IV: Todd Rock, Rosecrans.
