Last year, Lilly Lentine was suiting up to swim for the Wilmington College Quakers. This year, she takes on a new role as the assistant coach for the Quakers, replacing the position held by Cole Huggard, who became the head coach this fall.
"I feel truly honored to be given the opportunity to be an assistant coach for Wilmington College swimming," says Lentine. "I'm very excited to make an impact to this team, this time as a coach.”
Lentine is a 2023 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and was a four-year member of the Quakers swim program.
"Her experience here as a swimmer is invaluable to our program, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish as a team," says Huggard.
Lentine, a 2020 graduate of Clinton-Massie High School, joined the Quakers swim team in 2020. She swam the backstroke and individual medley for the Quakers, competing in finals for the 100-yard, 200-yard, and 400-yard individual medley, 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle relay over her four years with the program.
While swimming for Clinton-Massie, she was a three-time first-team All-League honoree and a four-year letter-winner.
