Three Wilmington College students were named OAC Athlete of the Week this past week.

Domenic Farley received the first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Player of the Week honor for men's basketball since he did it back on Dec. 4, 2023.

Farley earned that honor for a 24-point, eight-rebound performance upsetting the University of Mount Union 80-79, the would-be conference regular-season champions and tournament runner-up. In that game Farley scored four of the final six points.

This time around, Farley, once again, was instrumental in an upset of the Purple Raiders, currently the number one team in the OAC, hitting the game-winning three with 7.5 seconds left.

Over the past week, in that win over Mount Union and a double-overtime loss at Muskingum University, Farley averaged 34 minutes, and totaled 34 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and a block.

Against Muskingum, Farley had his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Justin Shuga earned the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Field Athlete of the Week honor for his performance at the Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern University last Friday.

Shuga had a career-best 18.25m toss in the weight throw, enough for second at the invitational, trailing only teammate JJ Durr, who is currently leading Division III in the weight throw. He was also third in the shot put with a throw of 14.20m.

Shuga is currently ranked 14th in the country in the weight throw. He ranks third in the conference in the weight throw and fifth in the conference in the shot put.

Noah Tobin earned the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Track Athlete of the Week honor with his performance at the Steemer Showcase in Springfield last Saturday.

Despite finishing ninth overall he did run his best time of the season at 8:27.43 in the 3000 Meter Run. This ninth-place performance was against a stacked field, as he trailed three Division I athletes, a Division II athlete and the 20th, 26th and 38th best runners in Division III for this event.

Tobin's performance is the top time in the OAC. He is also 22nd nationally in the 5000 Meter Run at 14:44.34 after the conversion for track size.

This is Tobin's first OAC Track Athlete of the Week award during his career. He received four Cross-Country Athlete of the Week nods in 2024 and seven overall during his Quakers career, and was the OAC Cross-Country Runner of the Year this past season.
