Monday, Sept. 23, 2025 
Fairfield falls to Huntington of the SVC

Going on the road to Huntington High School on Monday (Sept. 23) the Fairfield Lady Lions lost in three sets to the hosts in non-conference play. 

Huntington won by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17. 

Fairfield totaled nine kills with Remi Moon totaling six and Jorja May with three. FHS also had 10 assists as Paisley Stahlhut totaled seven, and with one each were Ally Maynard, Moon, and Ayla Parker. 

The Lady Lions also had six aces with Addison Cannon collecting two, and with one each were Alyssa Bales, May, Moon, and Stahlhut. 

Of the 37 digs by Fairfield, May led with eight, and with seven each were Bales and Stahlhut. Others with digs were Cannon (two), Jaeden Drury (one), Kinsey Drury (two), Maynard (four), Moon (five), and Parker (one).

Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025 
Lady Indians fall in 3 sets to Chillicothe 

The Hillsboro Lady Indians fell in Frontier Athletic Conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 23 as the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers defeated the hosts in three consecutive sets. 

Chillicothe won by scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-21. 

HHS totaled 32 kills in the match, as Tylee Davis and Ryan Wagoner led the way with Davis having 13 and Wagoner totaling 12. Also with kills were Riley Pence (two), Marianne Mycroft (one), and Emmalee Young (four). 

Four Hillsboro players had one ace each (Pence, Wagoner, Kayla Seeling, Davis), while Young collected the lone block for Hillsboro. 

Of the 70 digs for HHS, Davis led with 16, followed by Wagoner with 12 and totaling nine each were Seeling and Allie Roush. Also with digs were Pence (one), Josie Rhoades (seven), Mycroft (four), Young (five), and Macy Fauber (seven). 

The assists leader was Seeling with 28, while Wagoner and Fauber each had one.

Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2025 
Lady Mustangs defeat Paint Valley in 3 sets 

Playing a non-conference opponent from the SVC on Wednesday the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs hosted and defeated the Paint Valley Lady Bearcats in three sets. 

LCHS defeated Paint Valley with sets wins of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-13. 

The Lady Mustangs totaled 28 kills in the win at LCHS with Mattie Magee totaling a team-best eight, while next was Hallie Greene with seven. Kylie O’Connor totaled five, while Melany Stephenson finished with three, Addy Carraher (two), Ava McLaughlin (two), and Bre Rosselott (one). 

The assists leader was McLaughlin with 20, and next was Carraher with five, and Joslyn Rockey (three).

Leading the Lady Mustangs in aces was Rockey with five, followed by McLaughlin with four, Avery Shope with three, and Magee with one. 

The digs leader was Rockey with 15, while the rest of the team in digs were Shope (10), Melany Stephenson (nine), Magee (eight), Jules Vesey (seven), McLaughlin (seven), Greene (four), O’Connor (two), and Rosselott (one). 
 
LCHS also collected five blocks in the win with Magee and O’Connor each with two and Rosselott with one.

Manchester tops Whiteoak in SHAC match 

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost their Southern Hills Athletic Conference match on Thursday (Sept. 25) on the road against the Manchester Lady Greyhounds in three straight sets. 

Manchester defeated Whiteoak by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-19.

Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025 
McClain falls in three sets at Jackson 

The McClain Lady Tigers volleyball team lost their FAC contest on Thursday (Sept. 25) as they traveled to take on the Jackson Ironladies. McClain lost in three sets by scores of 25-9, 25-20 and 25-18. 

McClain finished with 23 kills and the leader for the team was Brynlee Karnes with seven, while Anzli Beatty and Alaya Jackson each had five. Also collecting kills for the Lady Tigers were Adalynn Snyder (two), Molly McCune (one), and Lydia Beatty (three). 

MHS had eight aces in the three-set match with Lillie Saunders having four, while Anzli Beatty, Shelby Wise, Kambriah Tomlin, and Jackson each had one. 

Karnes collected the only block made by the Lady Tigers. 

McClain also had 46 digs as Saunders led with 19, and the rest of the digs for MHS were collected by Snyder (six), Zoie Everhart (four), Anzli Beatty (one), Wise (seven), Tomlin (three), and McCune (six). 

For the 22 assists for McClain, McCune led with 189, and having one each were Saunders, Anzli Beatty, Lydia Beatty, and Jackson.
