Tigers fall in FAC road game against Chillicothe

The McClain Tigers continue to battle in the tough Frontier Athletic Conference, as they keep building up their program with each game played.
On Tuesday night, the Tigers scored in double figures in three of four quarters played, but the final result went in favor of the host Chillicothe Cavaliers, with McClain dropping their FAC road game to CHS, 63-44.
McClain scored 19 points in the first half with an 11-point first quarter and an eight-point second quarter, while CHS scored 19 points in the first quarter and 16 points in the second for a Cavaliers halftime lead of 35-19.
The second half saw MHS added 12 points in the third and 13 more points in the fourth quarter. CHS scored 18 points in the third and added 20 points to their lead in the final frame.
MHS was led in the scoring column by freshman Michael Noszka Jr. with 18 points, as he connected from beyond the arc with five 3-pointers, plus in the third quarter he was 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Noszka sank two 3-pointers in the first quarter and one each in the ensuing three frames.
Micah Parks finished with nine points, sinking three two-point baskets, and he was 3-of-5 from the free-throw line, including going 2-of-2 in his free throw attempts in the third quarter.
Seth Weller scored eight points for McClain, going 4-of-5 from the free-throw line, and he also connected with two two-point buckets.
Andrew Potts and Owen Sykes each scored three points, with Sykes sinking a 3-pointer. Also scoring points for the Tigers were Zane Adams with two points and Jordan Bell with one point.
Chillicothe had three players each score 12 points, as those players were Cooper Stoneking, Cam Badger and Caden Cox.
McClain now stands at 0-3 in the FAC and 1-3 overall.
CHS moves to 1-2 in the FAC and 1-4 overall.
