The U.S. has been lucky since 9/11. Despite the nation’s open borders, the country has so far avoided another major attack on the homeland. The operative words are “so far.”
Both our allies and partners, but also our adversaries, are closely watching how the United States responds to the atrocious Hamas attack on Israel. Allies and partners should be encouraged to follow our actions in supporting Israel and denouncing terrorism.

I introduced the Educators Expense Deduction Modernization Act to quadruple the amount that K-through-12 educators can deduct from their taxes for classroom expenses. It would raise the base amount teachers can deduct from $250 to $1,000.
